Tafsir of Matthew 1:2 The Covenant of Hazrat Ibrahim (PBUH)
This episode of the Injeel for Muslims podcast continues to explore the historical background of the Injeel Sharif.
This episode also discusses the relationship of Hazrat Ibrahim (PBUH) to his sons Hazrat Ishmael (PBUH) and Hazrat Izhaq (PBUH). In particular, Dr. Dawood discusses the great honor and blessing that the Taurat Sharif bestows on Hazrat Ishmael (PBUH), while showing that Allah tala declared that His covenant blessing would pass from Hazrat Ibrahim (PBUH) to Hazrat Izhaq (PBUH).
The reason that this is important is that this covenant blessing passed from Hazrat Ibrahim (PBUH) to Hazrat Isa al-Maseeh through Hazrat Izhaq (PBUH). In this way, Allah tala has caused His blessing to be spread through the whole earth just as He promised Hazrat Ibrahim (PBUH) in the Taurat Sharif.
